Ministry Update From Pastor Jeremy Searle

The Searle Family Moves To Gladstone, Queensland

We are looking to the Lord For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:”.

From Pastor Jeremy Searle:

The Lord has led us to Gladstone, QLD with the purpose of beginning a ministry in this centrality. This move has come as a result of the burden and vision the Lord has put upon us, and we are looking to Him as He leads us on in this new venture.

We have come to the day when the ruling principle of the present institutional church is ‘carnality’. Carnality is that dialectic synthesis of the Spirit and the flesh, two opposing principles brought together, this synthesis has become the ruling principle of today’s church. Sad to say that the theological systems of today do not have an antidote for carnality, they have no answer or cure for carnality. Even amongst the churches which still would verbally take a stand against carnality do not seem have an answer for it, rather they suffer it and suppress it telling the struggling believer that there is to be no relief from this dialecticism of a life until they are in glory, and that one just has to put up with this sin power until they either die or the Lord returns.

Our burden and vision is to see the Lord establish a work where the fullness of the gospel is preached and lived, the full truth of the atonement of Christ which procured salvation not only from the guilt of our sins, but from the power of the sin principle in a life. This is the only antidote to carnality. In a day of much falling away we desire a church that is holding fast to the faith once delivered to the saints, a church for those of God’s remnant people who are still desiring this. We are looking to the Lord For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:”.

With this heart we have moved to Gladstone to join with some dear people here who are of a similar heart, it is our desire to see the Lord establish a work here. It is our heart and prayer that we may as Paul desired in Romans to “impart some spiritual gift… to the end that you may be established…and…that I may have some fruit among you also”. Not only for the people of Gladstone, but then to go beyond this region once again into other areas of our nation.

Having moved to Qld on the 15th November, we have now commenced morning services on Sundays. Initially we are meeting in a house whilst we look for a suitable premises in the area in which to meet. Lord willing, we will begin meeting morning and evening on Sundays and also on Wednesday night for a midweek service. Pray with us as we look to the Lord for His hand to be upon this holy experiment.
